This is my second semester at Kishwaukee College, and my first semester on the Kaleidoscope, and I am really excited for the opportunity to write things that other people might actually read. I graduated from Oregon High School last spring, and after a summer at LOMC, the second greatest place in the world second only to OHS' own band room, I decided that Kishwaukee was the place to go. Not only am I really excited to begin writing articles, but I am really nervous too! I hope to write interesting articles that the students of Kishwaukee College will find informative and entertaining.
Hello! My name is Jessica Crawford. I am getting a degree in Journalism with a minor in Communications. My dream job would be a sports broadcaster at ESPN. With that being said, I am a huge sports fan and somehow am always being updated by ESPN. This is my first semester writing for the Kaleidoscope and will be writing mostly about sports at Kishwaukee College!
'Ello! I'm Jessica Pflipsen or Jess for short. also known as "hey you" or "chick in the corner" all are fine by me! I've always liked writing! Ever since the 7th grade. I found out about the paper my first year here and on my second year I decided to get in on it! I'm new at this so hopefully I can help my this paper better and not fail horribly at it. but I think I can do it! So just you wait and see!
Hello, my name is Mari West. I am a third year college student here at Kish. After 30 years of being out of high school I decided to return here at Kish to pursue a dream of mine. I have wonderful support from my teachers, family and friends which I have been blessed by. This has truly been the best time in my life and have enjoyed all my classes..I would like to get my Bachelor's in English. In my spare time, I love to be outside gardening, have a passion for photography, writing poems, traveling, and doing crafts. Writing for the Kaleidoscope is a challenge but I love it! <
Hello :) My name is Marissa but I prefer Rissa. I'm double majoring in Secondary Education and English with a minor in Sociology. I do believe I'm addicted to coffee, I drink about eight cups every time I go to the Junction (which is several times a week). I always have a book on me and it's constantly changing because I read fast. I've been writing for the Kaleidoscope for two semesters now and I will continue to as long as I can.
